Web Site Design Tools

Most attorneys are probably better off hiring someone else to take care of the technical aspects of designing their Web site. Here are some aids for those who would like to try developing their site themselves:

Programs

bulletFrontPage 2000 -- Justifiably popular.
bulletHot Dog -- A fast, powerful HTML editor. 32 Bit version now available.
bulletHoTMetaL -- Another popular HTML editor. Version 3 now available.
bulletPaint Shop Pro -- Popular graphics program lets you change file formats, capture screens and make "transparent" GIFs (i.e., images whose background is not visible, causing them to stand out in relief against the web page background).

Services

bulletPixelsite: -- "Graphics Made Easy." Make graphics, including 3-D effects, by selecting menu choices at WWW site. Note: this site is very popular. If you have difficulty connecting, try at odd hours.

Instruction

bulletA Beginner's Guide to HTML -- Good place to start.
